2015 The Year of Water

WRA | Water Reuse and Recycling

A number of legislators have declared 2015 as the "Year of Water" for the Florida Legislative Session.  In response to the overwhelming support of Amendment 1, significantWRA Engineering | Tampa Florida funds will be made available for land acquisition and water supply projects.  High on the priority list will be projects that are ready to be constructed to develop non-traditional sources of water and conservation.  In keeping with FDEPs Reuse Study, reuse projects are projected to be given preference. Those communities that have available wastewater for reuse should be looking to take advantage of the State's goal of 75% beneficial reuse efficiency.

WRA has recently completed five white papers for the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) focusing on water recycling potential within the district.
