WRA is providing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to Counties all over Florida within the Northwest Florida Water Management District (NWFWMD), Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD), Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). The hydrologic analysis consists of a variety of different data compilations depending on location and existing data present for the subject watershed. Many different models and softwares including National Flood Frequency Program (NFF), Version 3, USGS Regional Regression Equations, and HEC-HMS are used depending on the availability of data. The hydraulic analysis consists of modeling efforts utilizing the HEC-RAS software with surveyed cross-sections of the conveyance feature. The modeling results are used to update the existing FEMA flood insurance rate maps using accurate data and representation of the associated floodplains for a given watershed. WRA is also providing facilitation and public outreach services for individual county map modernization projects within the NWFWMD, SRWMD, SWFWMD and the SFWMD. This includes involvement by elected officials, local government officials, the public and users of the flood maps such as realtors, lenders, surveyors and engineers. The outreach activities required by the Map Mod process are critical to the successful development of the maps and implementation of the program. Role in Project: Sub-consultant
