This past Friday, March 22nd 2013, WRA joined WateReuse Florida in holding a symposium on Potable Water Reuse. The symposium was held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport from about 8am til about 3:30 pm. Speakers included Bart Weiss, President of WateReuse FL, Brian Good, President of the WateReuse Association, Mark Farrell, Principal of WRA as well as several members of SWFMD, SFWMD and the FDEP.The event was a huge success as the conference space was filled almost to its maximum capacity. Speakers covered topics like regulatory requirements, opportunities and incentives available to those communities that recycle their wastewater for potable purposes, economics of recycling water and how to reduce the cost of developing new alternative water supplies for the future.Video of the symposium along with several of the presentations from Friday, will be posted on the WateReuse and WRA websites in the coming weeks.
