Storm Tri Club Moves to Benderson Park

The Florida International Triathlon is moving to Benderson Park! Sarasota FIT has moved their triathlon from the usual Siesta Key location to Benderson Park off of I-75. This is only one of the many athletic events that are making their home at Benderson. Once its fully completed, Benderson Park will be a hot-spot for many local,  national and even international sporting events. Nicole Chapman, president of the Sarasota Storm (Triathlon team) has high hopes for the park saying, “Once this facility is finished, it’s going to be like Disney World for triathlons,” she said. “We’re really excited about it.” Florida International Triathlon will begin at 7 a.m. Sunday at Benderson Park, 2500 N. Honore Ave., Sarasota.
