University Place HOA and Joint Venture CDD Engineering Services

In 2007, WRA was contracted by the University Place HOA in conjunction with University Place Joint Venture CDD to assess potential non-compliance and other maintenance issues associated with the constructed stormwater management facilities and roadway system. WRA performed infrastructure inspections and provided an engineering assessment and recommendations prior to transfer of the infrastructure from the developer to the CDD. Specific infrastructure components that WRA inspected and provided recommendations for include the following:
- Stormwater grate, inlet, and outfall structures were inspected to assess structural integrity, sedimentation and other obstructions
- Stormwater pond banks were inspected to assess potential erosion issues
- Roadway curb and gutter cross slopes and longitudinal slopes were inspected to asses positive drainage to storm inlets
- Roadway pavement was inspected to assess conditions and potential maintenance issues
- Pavement Cores were inspected to ensure compliance with construction specifications
- Intersection geometry was inspected to ensure compliance with horizontal control plan specifications
