Nik Wallenda, high-wire daredevil, is training at Nathan Benderson Park for his high-wire walk over the Grand Canyon on June 23rd. The Sarasota native will be practicing twice a day until the 19th. Wallenda even continued trianing during tropical storm Andrea this past weekend. Wallenda trains twice daily, from 10:30-11:30am and again from 6-7pm. His walk across the Grand Canyon will take place on June 23rd at 8pm and will air on the Discovery Channel.
