U.S. Rowing Masters Championship at Benderson Park

The U.S. Rowing Masters National Championship began this past Thursday, the 15th,  at Nathan Benderson Park. This is the first National Championship to be hosted by the new rowing facility. This comes in the wake of the selection for the location of the 2017 World Rowing Championship. Next month, the International Federation of Rowing Associations will choose a site and Benderson Park is in the running for that. More than 1,000 athletes will be competing at this event. Many of the athletes started practicing Wednesday. Competitive racing will run from Thursday through Sunday. Admission to the event is $5 per person and $5 parking.
