WRA, a leader in Florida water supply planning and permitting for over 18 years, was recently awarded a three year contract with JEA for: (1) hydrologic/hydrogeologic modeling; (2) water resource management; and (3) consumptive use permit (CUP) support services. In respect to modeling, WRA will be providing services for hydrogeologic modeling and professional consulting services regarding St. Johns River Water Management District modeling efforts within northeast Florida, which has been a hot issue as of late with the simulated declines in potable water, overall surface water levels and spring flow declines, and, in some areas, water quality degradation. WRA will be providing value added engineering services to assist JEA in the management of their currently permitted use allocation by developing the strategies to ensure the relevant water supply challenges of the area are addressed in a cost-effective and implementable manner.
